This really makes writing music a breeze

Everything about this tablature app is awesome. Sound quality is great, has a tutorial to introduce you to everything you need, plenty of modifications can be made through the apps own (pedal) effects, and its IAA and Midi compatible (means audiobus, FLstudio, effects through other apps, etc). JM also has export options for tabs only, audio in various formats, and Dropbox sync to keep files safe and up to date if you modify them often. If youre a song writer or even just like messing with music, you want JM. This app has no IAPs. Meaning one price and you get everything. You can unlock all of the effects by writing a review (at no cost). The abridged version of this review: The most compatible, intuitive, quality app for music at the lowest price. EDIT: I ended up running into a small issue revolving around the lack of sound. Luckily, the developer is a saint and got back to my email in a matter of minutes with almost a novels worth of info. So much so that he fixed something else I had not even thought to ask about. A great product is one thing, but also having fast and awesome dedicated customer service to back it is one of those diamonds in the rough deals.

This is the best app for tabing and practice I have come across. Love the sounds of all the instruments. Worth every penny.

Ive only been using this for a few days, and Im still learning, but this app is really fun, useful, and make perfect sense to me.

I have nearly every music app in existence but Jam Maestro stands in a class by itself. Im amazed at the thought and labor poured into it.

Update; Thank you for the updates! Glad to have the continued support for this great app!!! Very very cool ! If youre a drummer this is an effective tool to get the song from inside your head to your speakers while learning just what those notes and or chords are! The midi application is a huge boon for triggering all those midi able apps youve been buying! Hook this up through Audiobus ( sold separately ) and youve got a real powerhouse in your pocket when used on iPod Touch 5g or iPhone ! Did I mention once youve programmed your song it beats the heck out of practicing to a metronome!?

This app is great for composing guitar, bass, and drum parts on the fly! It perfect for sequencing ideas without having to lug my guitar around, which later can be replaced with a real guitar. Its been very helpful in sparking my creativity, giving me the option to take my mental notes down while on the go. It also integrates nicely with Cubasis, to include both midi and audiocopy, which is great for my workflow! Only suggestion that comes to mind is maybe making beat dividers to make it easier to tell where each quarter note falls to make sequencing a little easier. Thanks for a fantastic music app!

...and now Ableton Link! Massive value if you havent purchased this one-of-a-kind app yet. I use Jam Maestro whenever I want to do some serious song writing and dont have my guitar. Its not easy getting an authentic sounding electric guitar sound on iOS without the guitar, but Jam Maestro comes closer than any of the other apps I have tried, and Ive tried almost all of them. Add to that its feature packed sequencing and you have a powerhouse tool.

Updating my review since I must have written it when the app was brand new! With Midi in/out, audiobus and now Ableton Link this is an amazing sketch, practice and performance tool especially when paired with ToneStack! Absolutely love this app! It has everything (well, except MIDI and audio bus) that an IOS guitarist could want. Once it gets on the bus itll be able to go to JamUp too! Amazing tool.

Incredibly versatile app. Just when I think I have it all figured out, I discover another feature. Very deep and well designed.

The new Automation feature for Tempo, Volume (Master and per Instrument) and Instrument Panning definitely kicks it up a notch. Guitar and bass tab, as well as drums/percussion. Midi out for more sound possibilities. Love it!

Really enjoying this app now! I tried the Lite version awhile back and found it was missing a lot of the things I was looking for. Since then, the developer has continued to evolve and improve on it with one update after another. Happy to say its now one of my favorite guitar based controller/synths. A joy to play and most importantly it fits nicely into a variety of iOS recording workflows. I would definitely recommend it!

this app is awesome! the quality of the samples and the attention to metal needs for palm muting and tuning are unique to this app. i use it everyday! update: Im currently using arrangements created with Jam Maestro to form a new band. Im using CraigsList with JM arrangements to get attention and the results have been very good. Ive found a bass player, 2 guitarists, and a singer, all because I can create arrangements easily in JM and present them on CL. Im able to weed out a lot of undesirables and also give a good first impression to those who are desirable. Thx David!
